2013 Pennsylvania College of Technology
Youth Leadership Program graduates Livia Nash, Divia Feinstein and
Alannah Harding are putting to use a $570-grant they received last year
to conduct an after-school Mentorship Through Science program for
sixth-grade students at Andrew G. Curtin Intermediate
School. The program uses hands-on experiments in STEM (science,
technology, engineering and math) areas. Yesterday's session, as
pictured here, concentrated on temperature and weather. Students were
able to create their own thermometers and "snowflake" using a
combination of chemicals.
